About UKAR
UK Asset Resolution (UKAR) is a British financial services holding company with headquarters in the West Yorkshire village of Crossflatts (near Bradford). UKAR is wholly owned by HM Treasury (HMT) whose shareholding is managed by UK Government Investments (UKGI).
UKAR was established in 2010 to manage and resolve the assets of two failed banks, Bradford & Bingley plc and NRAM plc. The company's main purpose is to reduce the cost of resolving these two banks to taxpayers. UKAR works to ensure that customers are treated fairly and that all assets are managed in an orderly manner.
The company offers a range of services including debt management, loan servicing, asset management, and customer service. It also provides advice and assistance on mortgages, loans, savings accounts, insurance policies, and other financial products. In addition, UKAR has launched several initiatives such as the Mortgage Support Scheme which helps borrowers who have difficulty meeting their mortgage payments due to changes in their circumstances.
